![]() E-Mail: eisenberg@hyattsvillecdc.org Telephone: (301) 683-8267 Stuart Eisenberg is beginning his seventh year as Executive Director of the Hyattsville Community Development Corporation, developing the arts and public spaces of Hyattsville while delivering economic development and revitalization activities throughout the urban edge of Prince George’s County. Stuart is a former Hyattsville City Council President, where he focused his efforts on strategic planning, community planning, and infrastructure renewal. In addition to his work at the Hyattsville CDC, Stuart serves on several nonprofit organizational and advisory boards in Prince George’s County. He is President of the Anacostia Trails Heritage Area Inc.; Vice President of the Hyattsville Preservation Association; a member of the Gateway Arts District Management Team, Community Forklift’s Capital Acquisition Committee, and the Prince George’s County Council’s Gas Safety Policy Task Force; and a founding member of the Washington Gas Watch Alliance. During his tenure working in Hyattsville Stuart has managed more than two and a half million dollars in grant-funded construction projects; managed acquisition of funding for six local public art installations; led the team authoring the Prince George’s County Gateway Arts & Entertainment District Recertification application; and conducted widely disseminated calls for artists and managed juried public art competitions.
Stuart believes his previous career as a cabinet maker and project manager, along with his long-time community and environmental activism, prepared him well for his current mission: to make the Hyattsville CDC a leading nonprofit community services provider that is transforming the Route One Corridor, facilitating the economic renaissance of the area, and stabilizing the local tax base. |
