The 6th annual live music and arts festival has a select spots still available for the May 5 rain or shine event set for 11 am to 5 pm the Town Center at the MARC train station, 4650 Queensbury Road in Riverdale Park. | As Christmas In April starts their 25th year in the county, we are reaching out to see if you can help recruit skilled trades and also donated unused building materials (lumber, paint, plumbing, etc.). This year, the organization has selected 83 homeowners to participate in the program. As the economy continues to recover, they are striving to maintain an excellent reputation of assisting County homeowners. Christmas in April could not continue their work without the support of individuals and business that are able to make these types of donations. |

Streetsense hopes to rent building space to commercial, office tenants.

The iconic but currently vacant TESST building in downtown Hyattsville could see new life in the near future. Streetsense, the Bethesda-based real-estate planning and development firm has recently acquired the property and plans on eventually renting it out to commercial tenants.
According to Marc Ratner, CEO of Streetsense, Hyattsville's downtown Route 1 corridor is fertile ground for redevelopment. Recent work to renovate existing city parking lots, expand on-street parking, and plans to construct a new parking facility along Route 1 are attracting attention among from developers.
