The CDC provided expertise, organization, and support to a grass roots campaign preventing construction of a hazardous Liquefied Natural Gas Storage Plant near the West Hyattsville Metro
The CDC assists stakeholders and the development community in efforts to realize the eco-friendly, award-winning Transit-Oriented Development Strategy for the West Hyattsville Metro station
Along with local civic associations, the CDC seeks funding sources to construct better public safety infrastructure like pedestrian lighting, call boxes and security cameras for the Hiker/ Biker trails and other access points of the West Hyattsville Metro Station
With the support of the Mayor and Council, the Hyattsville CDC has delivered the first phase of its Economic Development Program: a critical Market Study establishing the feasibility of creating a restaurant cluster for the downtown Route One Corridor
The CDC and place-making community-builder EYA are sponsoring the creation and installation of two sculptures and a mural in their new Arts District Hyattsville development. Other Hyattsville CDC-sponsored artwork and performances are under development.
In partnership with the City’s Office of Community Development, local businesses, realtors, and officials: the Hyattsville CDC coordinates revitalization efforts and marketing strategies for property owners and businesses in the Arts District.
